Sweet Poison

The cupcake has been baked for a special 
someone. The twinkle in the witch's eyes
makes one believe the bite of cupcake may 
not be trusted. Beware if you have wronged
a witch. She may take revenge upon you 
in the least expecting ways.

Psychedelic Cupcake

This tutorial was written on September 17 ,2023
Any resemblance to another
tutorial is purely coincidental.
I am using the art of Rene Kunert
with her September 2023 Bonus tube.

Plugins:
Mura's Meister Copies
VM Natural 
VM Toolbox
Distortion Filters
Xero: Porcelain
Video
VM Stylize

Open a new image 700x300.
Add a new raster layer & fill this layer with
a color of choice from your tube.
Copy & Paste your tube of choice
as a new layer. I resized my tube 
by 45% but it may depend on the tube you choose.

Duplicate the tube once &  rename the copy as Main
Hide the Main layer for now.
On the original tube layer, apply the plugin 
Mura's Meister Copies - Wallpaper rotate with default settings.
Rename this layer as WP1.
Duplicate the layer one more time & rename this copy as WP2.
This will help us keep layers straight as we design the tag.

If it helps you, feel free to hide WP2 layer for now while working
on the layer underneath it.
Making sure you have WP1 layer selected in your layer palette,
Apply the plugin VM Natural - Splash! with default settings.
Next while staying in VM Natural, apply the Lightburst effect to the layer.

Let's move the layer WP2 underneath layer WP1.
On the WP1 layer, apply the plugin VM Toolbox -
Lift The Cover (With Alpha) with changing the Edge Position to 157.
Now, apply the plugin Distortion Filters - Cracked with default settings. Change the blend mode to Soft Light or whatever looks
best on your tag. 

Select & unhide if needed the layer WP2. Apply the plugin
Xero: Porcelain with default settings.
Next, apply the plugin VM Stylize - Raygun with default settings.
Apply the plugin Video - TV Screen with default settings.
You should see some of the bottom color layer peek out
around the edges of the layer now.

Unhide your main tube. Position either to the left or right
along the edge as wanted.  Using your selection tool, select along
the bottom of your tag into or behind your main tube layer. 
Add a new raster layer & fill with the same color as your 
color layer. Select none & lower opacity to 40.

Duplicate the WP2 layer. Go to your Effects - Art Media Effects
Brush Stroke with default settings. I chose the color black for mine
but feel free to change the color for your tag. Change the blend mode
to Screen or whichever works best for your tag.

Add a new raster layer to your tag. Arrange it so its the top layer of your tag.
Fill with white or color of choice from your tag. Select your magic wand tool
& click this layer on your tag. Selections - Modify - Contract by 4. Press delete on your keyboard. Select none. Add a drop shadow to this layer & the rest of your layers. 

Add artist copyright information & a name to your tag.
Save as a png. Thanks for trying my tutorial!
