Deaf & Proud

In case you didn't know, I have partial deafness.
I wear hearing aids everyday to help me 
hear the world. The aids help but do not 
enable me to hear everything.
There are still sounds & frequencies which
do not register with my ears. There are a 
variety of possible reasons as to why I have it but nothing
for certain. Please know, if a deaf or hard of hearing
person tells you they cannot hear something,
they really can't hear it. We don't say that for fun.
Sometimes I can tell something is being said
but am unable to make out the words.
Its frustrating on our part to have to ask repeatedly
what was said. Or to have people not understand
that we cannot hear something. 
Please listen to what we saying.
