It is in the darkest of times, when faced to look
within ourselves, that we find ourselves.
Our strength, our courage & what truly
makes us well us, the core of our spirit,
With those things, we can find our happiness
& know that we can conquer the darkness.

Open up a tube of choice.
Open up a 700x700 new image.
On your Materials palette, choose a color
from your tube for the Foreground/Stroke Color.
Hide the Background/Fill color for now.
I am using the color black for mine.

Select your Rectangle Preset Shape tool.
Set the Width at 7.00 & make sure the
Rectangle option is selected.
Draw out a big square to desired size.
Objects - Align - Center In Canvas
Convert to Raster.

Copy & paste your tube as a new layer under the square.
Resize if you need to. I resized the tube i used 70%.
Position so the bottom of the tube lines up
along the bottom edge of the square.
Its okay if it overlaps a bit. We will fix that soon.
Duplicate the tube once & move above the square layer.

Copy & paste a texture of choice under the previous layers.
Duplicate once & move above the top layer.

Rename the layers such as:
Tex2
Tube1
Square1
Tube2
Tex1

Hide Tex2 layer for now.
Select the Square1 layer & select your magic wand tool.
Click inside the Square.
Go to Selections -Modify - Expand by 3. Then select Invert.
Now select one at a time the following layers:

Press delete on each layer to eliminate the excess outside of
the square shape. Select none.

Lower the opacity on Tube2. Take either your Selection tool
or your Eraser tool & erase the excess of Tube 2 layer. Now, if
you have a part of the tube you would like to keep  "popping out"
paste the Square, then leave that part.
Raise the opacity back to 100 & unhide the hidden layers..except Tube1
& Tex2. Keep these two hidden for now.

Select the Tube2 Layer in your layers palette.
Apply the plugin: File Factory Gallery E -Web -Default settings.
Duplicate Tube2 once. On the copy layer, apply the plugin
Kiwi's Oelfilter -Sezboard with default settings.
Change the blend mode on this layer to Soft Light.

I couldn't help myself. I know better than to
search the name on social media.
Nothing ever turns up & its been made
crystal clear by the silence over the years
that I don't matter anyways. Yet this time of
year, he always crosses my mind. Any other
time of year, that door is slammed shut &
bolted to be sure. Yet, the demons manage
to pry it open just enough to remind me
of that wound. No he does NOT deserve
to be called my father or dad in anyway.
He lost that title many years ago.
My FIL has stepped up & filled that role.
& the role of a caring grandfather for my kids.
Still, sometimes I wonder what he looks like now.
Would I know his voice if I heard it?
I certainly wouldn't be eager to talk to or hug him.
No he would get a very cold response from me.
Years of silence does that. I know the family
that cares about me & my family.
And so, tears will not be shed over him.
No, I will do what I can to ensure my husband
feels special for tomorrow after work.
He is a father that is there for his children
& for me. He has earned the title of father.
The demons will not win. I am healing
& I am stronger than that.

Today is not an okay day. No its a
very hard day for me. People checking if I am
okay or what's going on with me.
 I should reply but I can't bring
myself to. Just like I can't bring myself
to do just about anything right now.
Too consumed by sadness & emotion.
They have taken my smile & right now
most of my motivation. Am losing my
interest in things or at least right now I am.
I've enjoyed PSP last couple days but
right now, I just can't do it. I try to seek
out help but am getting nothing accomplished
on that avenue. It's so hard to find a therapist
right now that I can see. I just want to feel
better and to be myself. I'm losing her
to sadness, numbness & maybe a bit of  emptiness.
Why? That is not a very clear answer at all.
No it's a very muddy answer. Simple answer
is nothing did this but yet everything has
lead up to this. & I don't know how to
get through it all either. Logically I know
I need help & I am trying to get it. But I can't
pull myself out of this emotional hell either.
Depression does that to a person.

Note: This tutorial has special meaning to me.
I've been battling depression to keep myself
mentally okay during everything right now.
I am trying to illustrate how I feel at times
via the tag. Maybe I can help others a little
while trying to copy myself. Mental health
is as important if not more so than
physical health.

Some have tarnished wings &
have lost their halos. They have been
tainted by humanity and now
shed tears of sadness because of us.
Yet, maybe they are stronger than
the other angels. For they realize
that not all humans are ugly & evil.
