Pink Panties

This tutorial was written on February 15,2024Any resemblance to anothertutorial is purely coincidental.I am using the art of Ted Hammond with his tube 99-2.
Plugins: Mura's Meister CopiesVM ToolboxXero Porcelain
Open a 700x300 new image.Open up your tube of choice.
On the new image, add a new raster layer.Fill this layer with a color that pops from your tube.I chose to use pink for my tag.
Copy & paste your tube as a new layer above the color layer.Resize the tube 75% if needed. Make sure you are only resizing the tube & not the whole image. Duplicate the tube layer once.Rename the layers as such (from top to bottom)MainTube1ColorNow, hide the Tube2 layer for now. Make sure your Tube1 layeris selected in your layer palette.
Apply the plugin Mura's Meister Copies - Wallpaper rotate to this layer.You may need to repeat the plugin 1x to ensure the whole image is covered by your tube. You can do this easily by going to Edit - Repeat Copies.Duplicate this layer & rename it as Tube2.
On the Tube1 layer of the tag, apply the plugin VM Toolbox - Crystal Ball with the settings:Highlight X 54Highlight Y 54Highlight Size 192Distortion 55Radius 156Brightness 128Transparency 255Refraction 255
Move the Tube2 layer underneath the Tube1 layer. Apply the pluginVM Toolbox - Radial Mosaic with default settings.Back on Tube1, select your magic wand tool. Click in the center of this layerwhere the tube is not showing. Selections invert & select your Tube2 layer.Press delete. Select none. This should give you the mosaic layer only in that area of your tag. Change the blend mode to Soft Light on Tube2 layer. Or you can use a blend mode that fits better with your tag.
Add a new raster layer above the layer Tube1. Fill with a lighter color from your tube.Change the blend mode to Soft Light or one of choice that works well with your tag.
Select your Rectangle Preset Shape tool. On your Materials Palette, hide the Foreground/Stroke Color Palette. Make sure the original pop color is selected on the Background/Fill color option. Draw out a vertical rectangle on the left side of your tag.You don't want it all the way to the edge though but you do want it go from top to bottom. Convert the layer to Raster.
Copy & paste your tube as a new layer above the Rectangle layer. Resize 65% if needed.I did rotate my tube for this part - Right 90%. Position the tube as wanted for most of it to be inside the shape. On the Shape layer, click inside it with your magic wand. Selections - Invert. On the tube layer, hit delete. Select none. You should have the tube contained within the shape layer. Change the blend mode to Screen on the tube. Merge these two layers together. Duplicate & mirror.
Add drop shadows of choice to your Tube layers. On the Main layer, apply the plugin Xero Porcelain with default settings.Change the blend mode to Hard light or one of choice. You want to position the Main tube in between the two vertical rectangle layers of your tag. I also put minealong the base of the tag as well.
Add a new raster layer above the previous layers. Unhide the Foreground color option on your Materials Palette. Fill with the pop color. Select with your magic wand. Selections - Contract by 4. Press delete on your keyboard select none. Add a drop shadow of choice. Ta-da you have a border now.

Glimpse

I am using the art of Dirk Richter

with his tube 21-2.

Plugins:

Mura's Meister Copies

VM Natural

VM Experimental

DC Layer

Open a 700x300 new image.

Add a new raster layer & fill this layer with white or color of choice.

Open your tube of choice. The tube I

chose has a color layer & a black & white color.

For the first layer, copy & paste your tube as

a new layer. I chose the black & white (BW) layer for mine.

Rename this layer as BW.

Apply the plugin Mura's Meister Copies.

I used the Wallpaper rotate effect with default settings.

Apply VM Natural - Weave Distortion with default settings.

Take another layer of your tube. For me, I chose the color

layer for this one. Paste as a new layer above the white fill color.

Rename the layer color brush. Apply the Mura's Meister Copies

Wallpaper rotate. Under your effects - Art Media - Brush strokes.

I did the color black with default settings.

Now, apply the Plugin VM Experimental - TeeWee with default settings.

Return to the BW layer making sure its selected in your layer palette.

Select your Magic Wand tool with settings Replace - Color

Tolerance 20. Contiguous checked and Feather 2.00.

While holding Shift Button down, select the solid color areas of

the layer. You don't want to select the weave tube areas.

Once you have them all selected ( 6 on my tag ), press delete on your keyboard

& select none.

Duplicate the BW layer once. Make sure the Copy BW layer is selected in

your layer palette. Now, Apply the plugin DC Layer - Dark Glass with default settings. On the original BW layer, change the blend mode to either Overlay

or Hard Light - depending on which you like better on your tag.

Have your top layer selected in the layer palette. Copy & paste your tube

twice. I mirrored one so that the two tubes face each other. Position each one

along one side of your tag - 1 on left & 1 on right.

For my color layer one, I changed the blend mode to Hard Light.

Add drop shadows to the layers of your tag.

Select your font tool. Choose a color from your tag for your font. For mine, I chose the color yellow. Type out a single word that fits your tag. My word was Glimpse.

I centered the word in the middle of the tag. Convert the word to raster once you have it desired size. I did add a white outline to the word. I have to do a bit of a workaround for it though due to my Eyecandy4000 not working. Make sure you

add a drop shadow to the layer.

Add a new raster layer to the tag. Make sure its the top layer in your

layer palette. Fill with white or color of choice that compliments your tag.

Select your magic wand & click on the layer.

Selections - Modify - Contract by 4. Select none. Add drop shadow of choice.

Merge layers & add artist copyright & name to the tag. Save as a png.

Mosaic

Plugins:Mura's Meister CopiesNeology - Blend Mosaic &Neology - Transparent Bullseye
Open a new image 700x300.Copy & paste your tube image.Resize if needed & position on your tag as wanted.I positioned mine to the left size of the image.Rename this layer Main.
Duplicate the tube once. Make sure the original tube is selected in your layers palette. Now apply the pluginMura's Meister Copies - Wallpaper rotate. Duplicate this layer as well.Rename the two wallpaper layers as below.WPMosaic.
On the Mosaic layer, apply the plugin:Neology-Blend Mosaic - Default settingsThen go to Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance.
On the WP layer, change the blend mode to soft light.Select the Main layer in your layer palette. Duplicate once & mirror the copy layer. Move the layerunderneath the Main layer & above the WP layer.Apply the plugin Neology: Transparent Bullseye - Default settings.Change the blend mode to Soft Light. Duplicate the layer once & mergethe two bullseye effect layers together. Add a drop shadow of choiceto this layer & to the Main layer.
Select your font tool. Choose a font of choice. Type out a single wordthat fits your tag. I used the word Mosaic for mine. Position to the sideof your main tube but have the text layer underneath Main layer.Convert the word to raster layer. Duplicate once.On the copy text layer, apply the Neology: Blend Mosaic plugin.Add a drop shadow of choice to both text layers.
To add a border around your tag, add a new raster layer. Make sure its the top layer in your layer palette. Fill with color of choice that compliments your tag. Select your magic wand & select the layer. Selections - Modify - Contract by 4. Press delete. Select none.I then added noise via Adjust - Add Noise. I did Gauassian 25 for mine.Add a drop shadow to the layer.

Beautiful In Red

Plugins:Mura's Meister CopiesVM ToolboxVM NaturalGreg's Factory Output Vol IIVM Stylize
Open a 700x300 new image.Open a tube of choice. The tubeI chose has 3 layers. I am going touse the middle layer. Copy & pastethe tube to your new layer. Resize the tube 70% if needed. Duplicate once.Hide the tube copy layer for now.
On the original tube layer, apply the filterMura's Meister Copies: Wallpaper rotate.Duplicate once. Rename the layers as WP1 & WP2. Make sure WP2 is the duplicated the layer.Select that layer for now.
Go to Adjust - Blur - Gauassian with 15.Use filter VM Toolbox - Softborder with default settings. Drag the layer WP2 underlayer WP1. Change the blend mode on WP1to Soft Light. Lower the opacity to 40. Apply the filter VM Natural- Lightburstwith default settings.
On WP1, apply the filter Greg's Factory Output Vol II.Use the effect Shatter on the layer.Go to Effects - Edge Effects & Enhance. Add a drop shadowof choice.
Add a new raster layer above the WP1 layer.Fill with the color black. Select your magic wandtool & click on the black layer. Selections - Modify- Contract by 8. Press delete on your keyboard. Select none. Change the blend mode to Soft Light.Add a drop shadow of choice to the layer.
Unhide your tube copy. Make sure its under the blackborder layer. I resized it again by 93%. Add the same drop shadow to the layer.
Duplicate the tube copy layer. Move to either the left or right of the tube copy layer & underneath the layer.Apply the filter VM Stylize - Zoom Blur with default settings.Change the blend mode to Soft Light. Add drop shadow.
Select a font of choice. Type out a word on the opposite side of the tag from the Zoom Blur layer. I used the word Beautiful but choose one that fits your tag.Convert to raster & add a drop shadow.
Merge the layers together. Add copyright to the tag alongwith a name. Save as png. Thanks for trying my tutorial.

Our Rights

I don't often get political on my blog.I try to keep politics off of here & my Facebook.I usually am subtle about letting my beliefs out.I prefer to make my thoughts known via my creations.Until today that is. Today the rights of women have been stripped away from us. While I amgrateful to live in a state that is working to protect the very rights that our countryis trying to remove; my heart breaksfor all women in the United States.To know that we are thought of as less than;as incapable of deciding what happens to our own bodies! That all of our progressover the last 50 years has been removed.Have you ever had to face that reality just because of your gender?This is just the start of everythingthey wish to undo in our country.Progress that they do not like.Punishing people for existing it seems like.We will not go quietly! We will not accept thisas the new normal! We will have our rightsreturned to us one day! We are human beings!

Women Supporting Women

Women should help lift one another up.Society does enough to tear us apart &tries to dictate how we feel, appear, or are portrayed.If we are to change the narrative, then that must start with us. We've all heard the sayingHelp another woman adjust her crownwithout letting the world know it was crooked.Or something like that anyways.& that is a great start to supporting one another.But we can take it further. Let's not competeagainst one another - be it in looks, appearance, etc.We already are not on equal footing with men.We don't need to make enemies of one another.Be there for one another when life gets tough.Let's end the whole "I must look better, sexier, hotter,more beautiful than her" attitude as well. We are all beautiful in our own unique ways. We don't need to tearone another down over this. And that includesbody shapes as well. Women come in a varietyof shapes, sizes & colors. Every woman has herown struggles. Let's try not to judge one another over this.Again, society tries to dictate that enough already.Oh and jealousy is included in this too.That monster just needs to disappear.
I met a photographer in 2020 who is making it her missionto change how women view their bodieswith the help of her camera. It is amazing howmeeting fellow women who are truly supportivefor their fellow women, can help change your mindset.I'm lucky to have some ladies who are supportive.But I'm sure even we need to improve in areas.After all, nobody is perfect, we are only human.

Women Make History

I wanted to share what I made in honor of Marchbeing National Women's History Month.It is so important to honor & rememberhow far we have come through the decades & centuries.However, we must also continue to fight for our equality and our rights in some areas.Art is by Zindy using her tube Gazing Beauty.Scrap is from Gingerscraps & is there Monthlymix called Women History. I've made snags& wallpaper with them. The wallpaper is 1920x1080 & available here.We must also remember to help lift oneanother up and fix each other's crowns.We only do damage when we attack one another.Women should be helping one another.
