Spreading His Wings

Our oldest is leaving mid September for a 
nearby University. He is transferring as a junior
after having taken classes at the local community
college. This will be the second child to move out.
Our daughter originally moved 3 hours north for 
college. She ended up moving back to everything
2020 threw at us. I was a wreck when we moved her then.
I'm very mixed emotions about this one moving out.
I know he needs to spread his wings & learn some
things that he can only learn this way. But its still
hard to know my cub is moving out. My first born - the 
one that made me a mother. I think made
worse as I won't be there with him. I won't
see where he'll be staying. I won't get to see the campus.
 He wants his sister to move him.
I work that day which doesn't help. Will he want us to come visit?
 He isn't ready with
things he'll need either. Our place will be considerably
quieter without him home. I admit that will be nice
but I'm going to worry about him - as any mother would.
I hope he does okay over there. I hope he comes
home to visit some.
