All Squared Up

This tutorial was written
by Wicked Cupcake on March 29,2016
Any resemblance to another
tutorial is purely coincidental.
I am using a two tubes by Rene Kunert.
available here.

Supplies: Texture bokeh 2012 Pack by animekol
available here
Program: Paint Shop Pro X2

Open up textures or papers of choice
to use on your tag. Also, open up two tubes
of choice or a tube with a closeup will work too.
Open up a 700x700 new image.
Also open up a 250x250 new image.
Fill the smaller image with white.

Copy and paste the white image onto your
larger new image. Duplicate this layer three
times for a total of 4 layers.

Arrange the layers so they form a larger square
with slight spacing between each of the smaller squares.
It might help to rename the squares in terms of their placement.
I did names such as top left, bottom right so I can keep straight
which one I am working with.

Choose a texture of choice & select a square with your
magic wand tool. Do make sure you have that square layer
selected in your layer palette as well also. Paste your
texture as a new layer. Selections - invert & press delete
on your keyboard.

Now, copy and paste your tube or closeup as
a new layer.Position so it is over the texture & square layers. Press delete
again. Select none. Change the blend mode on the tube layer to
Overlay or one of choice.

Repeat the above the steps with the other three squares. Use a different
texture for each square. For the squares on the right side, I mirrored the
tube I am using on them to have the faces facing right instead of left.

Copy & paste your second tube of choice as a new layer. Make sure this layer is
above the square layers. I resized the tube I used 95% but this is optional.

Choose your text tool & select a font of choice. I used the color black for my
text. Type out text of choice and adjust to a desired size. Convert to raster.

For a moment, hide the text, second tube layer & the background layers.
Select a square layer & right click. Select merge visible.
Duplicate this layer & select the original square layer.

Go to Adjust - Blur -Motion Blur. Set the Angle to 315 and strength to 75.
Apply a Gauassian blur to the same layer of 5.00. On the square copy layer,
apply a subtle drop shadow.

Unhide the layers we had hidden. Crop your tag to desired size.
Add artist copyright information & name. Save as png. Thanks for
trying my tutorial.

Bubble Of Reality

This tutorial was written
by Wicked Cupcake on
March 24,2016
Any resemblance to another
tutorial is purely coincidental.
I am using a tube by Anna Marine
available here
I also used an animation by Rebel Dezigns
available in Animation Pack 89

Programs/Plugins:
Paint Shop Pro X2
Animation Shop
Muras Meister Copies
DSB Flux
 EyeCandy4000 Glass
VM Natural

Open a 700x700 new image.
Open up a tube of choice that also has a
close up layer as well.

Select your Ellipse preset shape tool.
Make sure the circle shape is selected.
On your Materials palette, hide the
Foreground color box. For the Background
or fill color, choose white or a light color
from your tube.

Draw out a good sized circle. Go to Objects menu
- center on canvas. Convert
the layer to raster.

Copy & paste your tube as a new layer.
Apply Mura's Meister Copies Plugin with the
default settings of Wallpaper( Rotate).

On the same layer, go to
Adjust - Blur -Motion Blur
Angle 315 Strength 75
Now go to plugin DSB Flux-
Blast: Percentage set to 35 & selected.
Direction Left

On your layers palette, select the circle shape.
With the magic wand tool, click on the layer to select it.
Back to the above blur layer. Selections - invert
& press delete on your keyboard. Go back to selections
& select none. Lower the opacity of this layer to about 34
or to a desired amount. Merge the two circle layers together.

Apply the plugin EyeCandy4000 Glass. Choose the Bevel Profile
Flat & change the color to white or one of choice. I did adjust the Bevel
Width to 31.70 but that is optional. Now apply the plugin VM Natural - Bubble
Planet. Click Randomize to choose a setting you like for the Bubble Planet effect. Then click apply.

Back to the materials palette, choose white or another color
for the foreground color and hide background color now.
Make sure your caps lock is on & select your text tool. Set the stroke
width to 2.0 or a number of choice.
Choose a fat or chunky type font. Type out a word of choice.
Convert to raster.

Select your magic wand tool. While holding shift button down,
click inside each letter. You should be able to keep each letter selected.
Once you have them all selected, let go of shift button. Go to
selections  - Modify - expand by 1.

Copy & paste your closeup tube again - twice this time. Arrange the layers
side by side & underneath the selected letter layer. Once happy with how they
are arranged, go to selections - invert & press delete on your keyboard.
Select none.

On the letter outline layer, add a drop shadow of choice. Merge the two word
layers together.  Duplicate the layer. On the bottom layer, apply a
Gauassian Blur 5.00 to it.

Copy & paste a regular layer of your tube. Position so at least
part of the tube is on the top word layer.

Select your font again. Stroke width set 0. Choose a color from your
tag for the font color. Type out a quote or saying of choice. Position as wanted
on the circle shape. Convert to raster layer. Add a drop shadow of choice to the
text.

Add copyright information & name to your tag. If you are going to animated,
also add a white background as well. Crop your tag to desired size.  Continue
below to follow the animation part of the tutorial.

To Animate:
Choose an animation of choice & open it in Animation Shop (AS) or the program of choice for you.
Edit Select All - Animation menu - Resize Animation.
For the one I am using, I resized 55%.
I chose to change the color on the animation I am using to better fit my tag. It is
really easy to do. Go to the Animations Menu & select Replace Color.
Select Old Color under Replace & select the color from the animation you want
to replace. Then under With, choose a color from your tag to replace it with.
Click Okay. You may have to do this a few times if there are different colors on
your animation.

Copy your tag merged & paste as new animation into AS. Duplicate by holding
Ctrl & tapping L repeatedly to get the same number of frames as your animation.  To check the number of frames you have, you can see this on the bottom right
corner of the program.

Making sure the tag is selected, go to Edit & Select all. Then, go to the animation
& Edit - Select All & then Copy. Then Drag the first frame of the animation to the tag.  Don't let go until you are happy with the placement of the animation.

To View animation, make sure all the frames are selected & go to View
Animation. Once you are happy with it, save as gif.
Thank you for trying my tutorial.
